Congrats on the order and it looks like a great build. I really am shocked at the price point though. Almost 997 turbo territory!

Wow that's steep. My friend's 997.2 Turbo S came up to about 3.2 Million HKD. This C2S is getting really close. Actually, I think it cost as much as their 997.2 Targa4S PDK.

Your friend bought this year or last year? Government increased the tax this year. The 997 Turbo S is 3.2M HKD with standard local equipment only. If he added some options than th eprice will be even more.

991 S standard price is 1,979,000 HKD with standard local equipment and Targa 4S is 2,205,000 HKD with standard local equipment.

991 come with CDR-31 as standard. It just the basic audio system with 7-inch touch screen, 9 speakers, and CD changer.

PCM will cost USD 8295 to upgrade and I would rather add sports exhaust for less money.

That's right! I totally forgot about the tax increase, it's like 135% now right?. They picked up the car earlier this year, but was ordered the year before. I know he ordered it with a couple options, but off the top of my head, I can only remember the carbon package and carbon console, as well as painted exterior skirts etc. But seriously, who'd pay this much for a car and order it without a few options to their desire.

458 are around 4m, LP700's starting price is 6. something million, but after options, its more like 7m

FYI, the 997.2 GT3RS 4.0 is just over 4m

2.1m for a C2S tbh I think its a bit too much. I only paid 1.4m for my 997.2 C4S loaded in 09...

I must say that the increase in prices for the new 991 may help those of us who drive 'old has-been' 997s to retain our car's selling/trade-in value.
