i wouldn`t say that black is boring. black makes every car more aggressive and sporty and it will always be a classy choice.
on the other hand: i don`t know why but i think that crazy colors really look hot on the new 991, much better than on the 997.

I'm pretty much sold on the 991 after finally seeing it in Basalt Black!!! Now I just need to wait for the widebody 4S to officially put in the order!!!

Black has always been the color I liked the best on any car. On the 991 Black seems to hide the subtle changes of the new model. If allowed to change (December production) I'm thinking Red or Dark blue metallic. Interior is Black. Will keep you posted.

BASALT black is hot. i had it on my previous P-O-R-S-C-H-E and it's the way to go.
i might get basalt again but with red interior.

I pre-traded my 997 towards 991 March production (if C2) or later (if C2S). Trying to decide which one, color, options, etc.
Notice that the yellow and the red 991s in pictures above must be North American versions, judging by rear plate space and amber side markers.

Orange markers are some of the first I've seen though...and need to be swapped for clears.

Take a look at the rear bumper plate spaces on the red/yellow vs the black 991s above and you may notice the difference. I doubt the yellow/red cars could accomodate long euro-type plates.

I have a guards red 991 s on order, though I also like the yellow and several other colors, but not black, I have a black 550i, i think once is enough for black, a hard color to keep clean though hot when kept clean.
