agreed, the car looks even better in person (have been at the IAA personally). i love the kit with the ducktail (without the additional wing) but i would take the black window trim (+all black wheels) on that silver 991, i like the car more aggressive.

 

Yes having a choice between the chrome and black would be nice. The matte black trim does certainly have a more sporting sense particularly on colours such as red and yellow however the chrome certainly works well with the overall theme of the car being obviously more classy in its overall finish than 997. The ducktail doesn't look bad but the car does work well without it and just with the front tequip bar. Some like the cleaner purist look, some like the wings and spoilers. I think on a car like a turbo or GT the rear wing is more of a traditional feature though therefore really needs to look right. Im sure the car looks better in the flesh, as all porsches do and i think those saying the 997 is better looking are just talking with their wallet. Sure 997 is nice but it's clearly been outdone by the fresher and more contemporary 991 and a walk around in the flesh will confirm that.

 

Both are beautiful cars. I still think the butt is too tall on the 991, though. It looks good, but that's not what I want to see on a 911. Not a deal-breaker for me, but it's a complaint that isn't going-away in my mind.

 

Went to the LA Auto Show, for me it was thumbs down on the car. The car was silver and the chrome trim looked cheap. Even my 10 year old asked if ours would be blacked out.

Plus I'm going with the option delete after seeing all the badging on the *** of the car. Looked like a Ford with all the letters.
