i think chrome trim works best with classic colors, such as white, beige, darkblue, darkgreen, burgundy, black, silver, gray or brown
and ONLY together with SILVER alloys.

i would never put chrome trim on wild colors such as yellow, red, orange, green or llightblue.
those colors scream "sport" and go best with black trim and black wheels imho.

kewl. that's what I was thinking as well. I think the sporty look doesn't jive with the chrome but colors like Catchmyshadow said will compliment the trim.

I hate the chrome trim. My first 958 TT came with chrome trim. It was one of the biggest things I looked forward to changing on my second 958 TT.

958tt - can't you get the black out trim, i think it's only couple hundred $$. I went with the chrome on the Cayenne as I have the polished lip on the wheels, compliments it and matches the quad exhaust too.

I did get the blacked out trim on the second 958 TT. My first one had the chrome, and it is just not my thing. I prefer the look of the blackened trim pieces. It was like $200-$300 on the second 958 TT I ordered.

On the Cayenne and Panamera, the chrome is standard and the black is an option. On the 911, the black is standard and the chrome is an option.

Now that's funny.

Not really like that. It's not blacked out like the option of the 958tt and Panny, the 911s has plastic.

Has anyone seen what it looks like on a car? Is the standard window frame are made of plastic? Maby someone may have some pictures?

watch the video, both 991s come with chrome trims.
it makes a difference on the blue car because of the contrasting body color,
on the silver car it`s hardly noticeable.

To each his own but I don't like the chrome window trim on the 991 on any color.

An option I wouldn't consider regardless of vehicle color and even if it were free.

Nice Vid!
That is truly a beautiful car, both of them. How could anyone not like that.
And the chrome trim is very classy, goes with the rest of the car. Superb. A real step up from 997 and the vid shows exactly where. Am still not 100% sure about the ducktail on the silver S but the front bumper IS a nice addition afterall. The S is no doubt the pick, but that blue is sensational.
