Stopped by the LA Autoshow today - snapped some photos of the 991 S
Just my opinion - I acknowledge it is a fine machine, and totally get why some ppl like it.
For my tastes though, am very glad I bought now to stay with 997.2 - knowing photos don't always capture how you might take to a car, I wanted to see it in person, but it still strikes me as too much blended Panamera - 911. Especially the interior with new sloping up center console.
Maybe it'll eventually grow on me once I see one with with sport styling, rear wing, or how they adapt it to the turbos but for now just not my cup of tea.

The ascending center console is derived from the Carrera GT and not the Panamera. The Panamera was just the first to get the treatment again.
I guess it will soon be a feature of the whole model range, incl. the next Boxster and Cayman. One main reason why the 991, esp. the wheelbase, grew is that they needed to do this in order to fit the upcoming hybrid drivetrain. But as u can see by the sportauto track times, despite itīs growth itīs much faster round corners now. it kinda defies the laws of physics but thatīs Porsche`s trademark.
