Wow it looks in fact so much better than the 997 gt3.
If a C2S 991 is as fast (the ring) as a 997.2 gt3 the new one will be very interesting.

 

considering msrp only went up a little from 997 to 991, it should still be priced well.... the last GT3 at 115k base was a steal and came with everything you needed including in the base price.

 

it didn't come standard with PADM nor buckets. PADM is needed and many desire buckets.

Expect base MSRP to be $123k or so. When you add needed performance options you'll easily be at $130k something. Add PDK with SC and you are going to see the high $130s, imo.

Gorgeous rendering. So glad I am first on my dealer's list. I would definitely trade my .2 3 for one like this.

 

Awesome. For sure, it won't come with a front bumper vent like that. It will be sculpted and built-in on top of the bumper...

 

My .1 GT3 looks badly dated to me now. 470 bhp sounds really good too. If the car looks anything like this in person, then I may be spending a bit of cash sometime in the near future.

 

As much as I think the 991 gt3/RS will be a monster, I do not think your .1 looks dated at all. It is timeless, imo. I may be partial as I have a .2.

Anyway, when you consider the aforementioned rendering, 465-475 hp, likely shorter gear ratios, more torque, probably 80-100 less lbs, the 991 chassis, the gt3 will be killer. The RS, well... This is my opinion even without PDK. Add the dual clutch and holy freakin cow! ftr, I will very likely stay with the stick; but still.

Conservatively configuring numbers the .1 has a power to weight of roughly 7.4 whereas the 991 even with "only" 465 and weighing 75 lbs less, will be roughly 6.4. The RS could see 5.5 or so!

I'm thinking the RS with buckets, PCCBs and a stick will come in 500 hp +/-, weighing in at <2850. The power to weight with either car will be excellent!

^ Scooter, would you go PCCB again? I very well may. Crazy money I know, but the weight and lack of brake dust is a very compelling argument. I don't track so no worries there.

 

You're right! The .2s did that and it does make it look better, imo. I know it's photoshop, but the roof won't have the cut-outs either. Nonetheless rep power to the OP.

I could see a red gt3, black wheels, PCCBs with matching seat belts, full leather and buckets in my future.

 

well the renderer seems to have grafted the current GT3 front bumper, smile and wing onto a pic of the 991, so I can see how it looks like an evolution

 

i wonder if PDK will be offered for this beast.

 

SC? cant be a supercharger, can it?
