FYI: Euro Delivery is No Charge for USA customers on all models!

ED invoice = 92% of ED MSRP (on the car only)
Options are the same price as US invoice.
ED MSRP = 93% US MSRP
Therefore ED invoice = 93% * 93% * US MSRP.
I just put a Euro Delivery deal together on a 7 series in November and ED really makes sense for one of those.
Not sure where you are looking, but there are no restrictions on M cars for ED. They used to be excluded, but I think that changed a few years ago. I know a few people who had ED M cars in the last few years.
Yes, but they are Lufthansa full fare tickets. It is rarely cheaper to buy one of those vs. getting 2 discount tickets elsewhere.

Sure, if you pay ED MSRP, but it is well known that ED cars do not come out of dealer allocations and many dealers are willing to sell ED cars at ~$1k over ED Invoice which is roughly 86% of US MSRP. Well as far as Porsche is concerned ED cars do come out of a dealer's allocation.

Just looking at the Site.

This would be really good info to post on the BMW forum as you can see it is not common knowledge to people that may buy or want an ED BMW.
I guess the bottom line is before BMW Euro delivery became topic is I don't want a BMW, I want to buy and pick up another Porsche in Europe. So, I consider this a vast improvement to when they were charging for picking up a car! I am sure the the Europeans on this board would like a discount for pick up too!
I guess Porsche probably knew that for some this change still would not be good enough, but it's good enough for me!

No shipping charge. All included, even two weeks insurance while you drive it!
I have done Audi/Volvo/Porsche. Just driving a car in the Alps/Autobahn/Nurburbring anywhere in Europe is a great experience!
When I got my 8% off on the new to hit the market 997c4s, it was actually because I was working 3 dealerships and had no relationship with any. Good luck with the 991.

a little more info on new ED.
This is from a dealership post. The winter wheels rental free during winter months is great!!!
"The Porsche European Delivery Program is free for all Porsche customers, and Porsche Cars North America would love the opportunity to provide assistance with travel planning for your European Delivery trip. They will be able to fill you in on special "Porsche" discounts on airfare from Lufthansa and lodging packages from Steigenberger properties.
If you take delivery of your new Porsche between October and March, you will receive a free two week winter tire rental so you can put your Porsche through its paces on the highways and byways of Europe. After bringing your new Porsche home, all European Delivery customers are also eligible for a special discount at the Porsche Sport Driving School in Birmingham, AL."

Nope. You are buying the car before it hits American soil...at least that is how it works with BMW.
BMW benefits because it builds brand loyalty (lol...alliteration). And I am sure people know about it. It is just not a common route because not many cars are custom ordered for BMW and many people just are not planning to be in Europe around the time their cars roll off the assembly line.
Yes. I believe it was changed on 2010 models. At any rate, ED has been available for a while on ///m cars. I just wish Porsche would give me a discount for doing ED too. I think this levels the playing field and would allow smaller dealerships to sell more cars without taking up one of the few allocations that they have.
So, I guess that is really not a benefit from BMW!

The VAT issue is still unclear. I am fully aware of what BMW and MB do with their ED programs. Have been a repeat customer of both brands.
However, Audi and Porsche have always required a % of the MSRP to be deposited and paid before and during an ED to cover VAT. I have always been told by both brands that this is to cover/prevent the car from being sold whilst in Europe (since our prices as quite a bit lower). I, for one, have had an issue putting 10-15k into Porsche or Audi's bank account to be held. That is why ED was never an "option" for me with these brands. We shall see if they have removed that requirement.

Confirmed with PCNA.
Vat deposit is required. 19%.
All orders come out of your Dealer's Allocation. That is unfortunate!
You can pick up your car either in Zuffenhausen or Leipzig. Doesn't matter the model, they will ship it to where you want it.

I was just discussing this with a sales rep. His statement was that for a Carrera (non-s) the price was $2900. He referenced that the dealership may pay this cost. Of course that means I need to negotiate price before I discuss ED if the dealership has to cover that cost, and that I basically won't be able to negotiate properly with this salesman any further. In fact, it means that we end up paying it because the dealer will see his cost as Invoice+$2900.
So does the dealership pay the $2900 (I thought it was ~$1500 for a C2 911) or does Porsche pay?
Does this really come out of their allocation?
thanks!

Unfortunately, it does come out of the dealers allocation. Some of Audi's models don't come out of allocation so it is easier to get a hold of poplular models in certain regions of the country.
I actually gave my dealership a heads up on the recent development as well!

Apologies for this follow up question, but to clarify, this seems to imply that Porsche covers european delivery, not the dealer or the customer. Correct?
European Delivery according to the Porsche site
"Porsche’s all-inclusive program includes factory delivery, shipment of your automobile to North America, marine insurance, collision and third-party insurance. Even the cab fare from the airport to the Porsche factory and one free hotel night is included!"
refundable VAT deposit
"Note: German tax laws require a Value Added Tax (VAT) to be paid on all purchases. A security deposit to cover the VAT is therefore required at the time of payment for your tourist vehicle and is fully refundable (along with interest at the prevailing rate) when your vehicle has cleared customs in North America."

Vat deposit is paid by you. Most dealerships cash and hold the funds in a NON-interest bearing account. So you won't be collecting interest most likely.
Understand that the included insurance was for only 2 weeks, most likely the same and that there is a 1000 euro deductible.
