Thumbs up FYI: Euro Delivery is No Charge for USA customers on all models!

Porsche is now offering "Free" European delivery for USA customers on all models! I saw the configurator showing $0 and I confirmed it with Georgia.

So weird, I was online last night and saw the same thing. A huge huge improvement from Porsche. Very cool!

What would be even better if they gave a discount for European delivery like BMW does.

It was between $1800 to $4000+ model dependent.

Let's not forget that you certainly can negotiate a price/discount on your own. In 2006 I negotiated 8% off a C4S on a Euro Delivery. With the other companies you take their Euro discount and that is it!

Since BMW gives a ~7% discount from dealer invoice (i.e. - a ~14% discount from MSRP) for any German built model factory delivered (even a brand new M5), I'm not sure you are going to do better with Porsche. I can almost guarantee you won't do as well with a 991 for quite a while.

From what I read and understand is BMW is 7% off MSRP. Unless you know something other than what is published?? Also, currently I don't show the M5 available for Euro delivery. But they do offer 2-1 Lufthansa tix!

Even the Audi R8 charges extra for euro delivery with NO discount, so I think Porsche is doing just fine with a "No Charge" option for its Euro delivery.

BMW is 7% off MSRP, I have done it several times. It is a great time.

Pretty nice discount but this is already a huge step for Porsche. They are not giving anyone a dang penny back, maybe that will be next

If I even get a 1% discount on the next 991 I will be lucky - might actually switch dealerships, heard the others are willing to move. On our last custom ordered Cayenne I get a $1500.00 discount (plus free mats) only because I went to another dealer and they gave it to me off the bat. It was also a very highly spec'd vehicle.

I will admit though you get what you pay for. Downtown Porsche has been the best buying experience of my life, they even delayed the Cayenne to a 2012 model because I was not ready for a 2011. But now with the pricey 991 I will need some help

When you buy a Porsche you pay a $900 delivery charge. I assume that's not the shipping charge from Germany. When you pick up a 911 in Germany do you have to pay for the shipment back to the states and how much is it?

That's cool, I would love to European delivery either through BMW or Porsche some day. I've heard it's a great experience.

No shipping charge. All included, even two weeks insurance while you drive it!

I have done Audi/Volvo/Porsche. Just driving a car in the Alps/Autobahn/Nurburbring anywhere in Europe is a great experience!

When I got my 8% off on the new to hit the market 997c4s, it was actually because I was working 3 dealerships and had no relationship with any. Good luck with the 991.
