Thanks again to all of you for the kind words.
My only remaining concern is with my insurance company that is not deeply in love with me right now
A few pics from today. My son and one of his friends have experimented different lighting & exposure conditions tonight. A good start.

Looks sick!!
I just spent my whole day detailing the car...inside out...I was joking with my wife that it could be put on a pedastale. Will take some shots with my new camera and post one of these days ...!

Points for the young men. They did a great job. I presume they had to "borrow" the car for a while?
I spent last Wednesday detailing the 911 and Q5. Unfortunately it turned out to be on the coldest day so far this season! I started at 6am and finished around 7pm. Apart from dealing with the little ice rink I had created in our driveway, it was so rewarding to look back at the gleaming handiwork.

Had the Fabspeed headers installed for 2 weeks ... unfortunately, they are a bit louder than I had hoped for, plus they are not fully compatible with the GIAC ECU ... GIAC says that the O2 sensor placement on the headers is slightly different from the OEM headers, and that unfortunately doesn't allow the ECU to maximize power. So I had them taken off ... they are for sale ...

BTW - I'm also selling a set of 991s OEM cylinder heads and intake camshafts ... these were taken off by Suncoast Porsche when I had the X51 power kit installed with 2000 miles on the car ....

Nice photoshoot!
Right click save as...lol Wow, these could be my desktop.
Nice to have the baby back home, safe and sound. You will have to put a tick mark somewhere like the fighter planes. Sm ATL +1, Wall 0
hehe! Congrat's The Paint shop did a great job...

Cheated on my 991S...
Got pics in the mail today from my week end at Barber with my son's E36 M3. Cheating on your girlfriend is bad, doing it while she's in the hospital is even worse... but the 1995 Bimmer was like a very tempting cougar
I gave a lot of point by's but still had a ton of fun and made a few interesting encounters, including a beautiful raced prepped 981S that you can see sniffing my tail on one of the pics.

$11k for the kit plus 40 labor hours at $80 per hour .... Done at suncoast in Florida. Local dealer wanted 14k for kit plus 40 hrs @ $179 per hour plus tax on the parts ... So significantly cheaper to transport the car to Florida (add $1.5k). On the o2 readings, I understand that the factory sensors are wideband sensors and they are sensitive to placement. I may actually go ahead and have an alternative bung welded into the fabspeed headers and then compare the readings between the two o2 sensors on each bank to see if readings are closer to stock.

Serge, congrats on getting the car back. Have you ever given much thought to a nice 981S? They may be a nice alternative to your 991S. I know you went to your dealer's launch party many months back but you should try an extended test drive.
