Here is the information from their site with some audio sounds. http://www.techart.de/en/techart-sho...-i/sounds.html And here's a quick video I did of mine. It sounds better than in the video but I couldn't really go all out due to my neighbors being outside that day. Video Link: http://youtu.be/OaPYYcrBCDs

Don't BS me, you and I both know that if the 991S had come with the 991 GT3 engine as an option, we both would have ticked the box.

Hummm, well.... Yes

You may already have seen this video but I wanted to post it in one of the threads talking about how N/A 911's are underpowered.
Facing the agony of choice (sooo many of these threads), I decided to post here
Matt Farah loves high hp cars, supercharged engines etc. but his comment totally nailed it: "There is different kind of hp's, right? like this Mustang hp which is the car isn't as fast as the hp would lead you to believe, and there is Porsche hp which is the car is actually a bit quicker that the number would lead you to believe".

Ordered it on Amazon. It is the "Professional Microphone For GoPro Hero 3 and Hero 2 Black Silver and White Editions by Polar". Only $40, probably not top quality or performance but at this price, I am willing to give it a try.
I should receive it mode next week and will report on the sound quality.

When I posted the first feedback the night I picked up the car, I had not had the opportunity to push the car hard. I have done 600 miles with it over the last two days on highways and mountain roads and have been able to open up a few times You can indeed feel a difference when you step on it and pass 3,000 rpm. The acceleration feels more linear and stronger which is consistent with the dyno data provided by AWE. I did not get the exhaust with a performance increase in mind, but it is a nice bonus on top of the sound and weight. I'll be honest and confess that it made me feel like going further and look at the GIAC tune I am the first one to say that the 991 has enough hp to go fast, but this kind of thing is irrational by nature.
Just ordered a set of custom wheels that will let me run 265/35/19 R888s in front and 305s in the rear. The folks at wheel enhancement.com will have a set of forgeline GA3R rims made, 9.5x19 and 11.5x19. Couldn't find a good set of standard wheels with the right offsets. Also looks like tire rack doesn't sell the r888 in 265/35 anymore, but toyo still makes them. Can't wait to try on the track.

Tom please elaborate especially in view of the fact that we both have the power kit.

I'm a big fan of the GIAC upgrade. Best bang for the buck in my case.

Bob - I think I had posted a review on this threat a few months back when I got it. After installing the power kit, the power curve was smoother between 3-5k rpm (less of a sudden kick at 4k rpm that you get with the non x51 engine). The giac ecu really brought the engine alive between 3000-4500 rpm. Big gain there, especially in lower gears feels like car is 200 lbs lighter. Matches with what the giac folks told me on the phone about the stock tune being a bit lazy in the midrange....

Here's a dyno run I had done in Dec with X51 and GIAC. Unfortunately we couldn't find a rev pickup signal, so it was a manual run with speed on the x-axis. 128 mph in 4th gear is only 7000 rpm, so we missed the top power at 7600. Next time. But I like the shape of the curve. I just now put on my modified Fabspeed headers and will do a re-run and hopefully rev a little higher. Also put an induction loop around one of the the ignition coils, hopefully we can get a rev signal next time.

I personally witnessed a 2013 991S turn a high eleven at Atco speedway. The car was completely stock.

Great Thread!
What a great way to pass the time during a snowy Saturday. I really enjoyed reading about your adventures and learned quite a bit from your experiences. Thanks for posting this continuous wealth of information.
I also want to mention that I was glad to see that your car has been restored to its pristine condition after that dreadful mishap.

You sure did the right choice, but, every once in a while, you will miss your S4. I liked mine a lot and, in retrospect, I should have kept it as a second car. Now if I had done so, I would probably have driven the 991 90% of the time
Here is a pic of my (sometimes) regretted sedan...

Porsche 911 FTW !
I did not have the opportunity to be in Daytona today, but a good friend of ours spent the week end there. Here are 3 quick pics of the car #911 just a few minutes after it passed the finish line. It can certainly use a good car wash. I personally recommend Turtlewax 'Bug & Tar' after the track
