Thanks for all the kind words.
I did not expect it either and I am pretty sure the Atom driver was not pushing it to 100%. The 991S would otherwise not stand a chance (not by much though), except maybe on the backstraight where you hit 155 mph and beat the Atom top speed.
Let's also keep in mind that this is a DE and not a race, but it is true that it is amazing to see what the same car you take to the grocery store can do around a track

Found a first few pics of the last week end at Road Atlanta. Not much you haven't seen before.
991 in Lightning Mc Queen livery. Ka-Chow
Hanging out with a buddy
Big butt contest (makes me want a wide body 911 ):
The GT40 wins!... and I definitely do not like the new 'Vette from that angle.

Impressive Serge that you can track your car on only 3 wheels... Hope you did not encounter many left hand corners that day

Serge that looks like a pile of fun. Agree about the vette...looks like a brick. That Miata is the business....that's the track car to get. Hmmmm.....
My friend who got his GT3 on the day the stop sale was announced was there.
I'll send you a pm.

I apologize if this has been covered lately, but any solution to buffeting? I recall from, say page 24 or so that you had some ideas about remedy.
Car looks great since the rebuild.
Edit: just saw your post in the 991.2 thread. It would appear the issue is still outstanding. :-(

I have not heard anyone announce a solution. I have tried a couple of redneck solutions. They work ok but are ugly and a pain.

The issue is really noticeable and annoying in case of sustained high speed (i.e. >120 mph) and it may be the reason why people perceive it differently. For instance, it is very annoying on the backstraight on Road Atlanta or at VIR but is really not on 'slower' tracks like Barber or AMP.
I gave up on finding a fix and was going to wait for the sport mirrors retrofit. Not planning to do it immediately and will wait to hear feedback from new owners who have picked the option.
