This is right.

Here's a pic of the standard 991 sidemarker. It is thicker towards the rear to accommodate the light bulb and slightly sticks out when installed on the car:

I had the 'standard' clear markers installed with error free LEDs but was not crazy about the color. Another white on top of the Xenon headlights and LED DRL's (pic of my previous car):

The Turbo sidemarkers are clear when turned off, amber with a nicely lit contour when turned on and sit perfectly flush (pics of another 6speeder's car):

Went for a quick early morning mountain run with my son a couple of weeks ago. North Atlanta -> Dahlonega -> Brasstown Bald and back. Takes about 3+ hours and is a lot of fun even at legal speed. Good option for a 7AM-10AM Sunday morning if you do not have more time available.

Couple of pics:

Last couple of miles to the top of Brasstown Bald:

Sunday mornings are always a good time to make a few nice encounters. Ran across a new Aventador on the way back:

I'll see if I can find more pics or lap times...

Looks like a fun time and the pictures are great. Makes me miss my Dakar yellow M3. I really loved that car.

Yes, the E36 is a ton of fun and you can really be one with the car.
It is unfortunately no longer Dakar yellow as one of the (many) previous owners had it repainted in some kind of Lambo yellow...

Just a tiny bit of eye candy for celebrating 2,000 posts on the thread (and probably 200,000 views within a day or two). Thanks to you all for your input and feedback over the last 2 years.

For those of you who live close to Atlanta, here's the itinerary. The trip do Dahlonega is totally uneventful, but once you get there, it is a lot of fun.

If you have more time (i.e. until mid-late afternoon), there are a ton of beautiful roads up North, but this one allows you to be back for the family brunch

Just purchased two inexpensive tools (Brake Lining Thickness Gauge and Telescoping Mirror) for checking brake pads wear at the track. Less than $30 in total.
