Radar Detector
Hardwired my Valentine V1 this morning. Did not feel safe getting on the road without it. Will probably have Laser jammers installed shortly (not a DIY this time).

Transferred a few accessories from my Cayman R too. Will post tomorrow.

Went on my first long distance trip with the 991S from Atlanta to East TN driving through the Appalachians. Run into a couple of interesting places
No premium gas here... in fact no gas at all!

Where are Hansel & Gretel?

Cruised and had some spirited driving moments too. Consumption averaged 24 mpg which I found pretty good.

Nope. Anything really. Maybe a close up of the dash, instruments, seats, ignition.

While I was checking the dashboard, I discovered that the silver trim was missing around the stopwatch

Sent the picture to the dealer and waiting for the missing part. I doubt that Porsche would have missed it so it must have 'disappeared' at the dealership... Strange.

BIG mods from last week end
I said I would post a couple of pictures of the Cayman R 'accessories' I recycled on the 911:
'Carbon fiber' Porsche valve stem caps
http://www.flickr.com/photos/60293300@N06/6865828903/
LED side markers
The dealership provided the clear markers and I re-used error-free LEDs I had bought for the Cayman
http://www.flickr.com/photos/60293300@N06/6865830297/
Carbon fiber license plate frame
http://www.flickr.com/photos/60293300@N06/6865832387/
Front luggage compartment liner
The 991 compartment is a tad bigger, but it is still snug enough
http://www.flickr.com/photos/60293300@N06/6865831297/
...and finally
the inevitable GT3RS key strap
http://www.flickr.com/photos/60293300@N06/6881674309/
That's it for now.
Have an appointment to get tint done this afternoon.

Forgot to post this one. Worked on all my cars.
Just use 91% rubbing alcohol.

Soak a waxing pad with alcohol and just rub the sun visors for a few minutes. After that, simply peel off the stickers.
No residue & no shiny spot. Looks a lot cleaner...

Regarding the clutch, the most likely explanation is that a warped disc or pressure plate (my neighbor got the exact same issue after very few miles on his Cayman S a coupe of years ago). I have had manual transmissions and never had any issue with a clutch. I can not imagine I drove the Cayman like such a pig that I would have ruined the clutch so quickly

-error free LEDs if you want something that is white and coordinated with the LEDs and Xenon's. I bought mine online from AZN Optics
-good old Hoen Chromium. Still amber when glowing, but nice clean silver look when off. Here's a pic of the Hoen chromium next to the OEM amber bulb:
