Only remaining problem is the weight sensor and the fact that the Airbag light is on all the time. Piwis did not seem to be able to fix it. The dealer and shop are looking at the wiring diagrams and i am sure they will find a solution to this.
The only thing to be cautious about is the fact that the seats do not have any height or inclination adjustments and that they sit a little higher than the stock seats. I am only 1,74m tall (or short should I say and sorry for using metric!) and i am fine with still enough headroom for my track helmet. Maybe when you are taller you pull the seat backwards which makes it go down a little and also creates a bit more headroom thanks to the shape of the roof, but I could not tell...

GT2 seats, Brembo BBK and Track wheels & tires
The car is back home fitted with the GT2 seats, the Brembo BBK at the front (waiting for the rear to become available in the US) and track wheels. Here are a few first pictures:
LOVE the seats. They fit like a glove and look great:

Nothing new for those who know the GT2 seats, but they are razor thin which improves visibility and leaves a little more room to the (very occasional) passengers. I have not checked the weight reduction yet, but it is significant.

The back of the seats is covered with CF. Going for a carbon fiber theme inside the cabin is growing on me (centre console, silver dashboard trim).

Track wheels (19" Innsbrucks + 888's) where also fitted today. The color is a bit aggressive, but these will be track dedicated wheels

Seats look amazing.
Will be curious to hear about the wheels and brakes on track, too.
I could use some education on brakes -- stockers are Brembo, too, no? These are higher spec, and should handle more heat/abuse? Do i have this right: slotted rotors better than drilled, and 2-piece rotors better than one-piece?
Oh and side note -- my better half is not particularly interested in cars, but I share some select stuff from this thread with her, as she is fascinated with the constant modding. Her comment on the seats were that "they look like child seats for adults"... I guess goes to show how supportive they are. I have only tested those seats in a showroom car, but they sure felt good there.

Funny, I like your track wheel look better than your stockers ( Loved your factory wheels but the black wheels were meh to me)
You certainly don't mess around with your mods. How much bigger was the BBK than factory?
The seats are nice but I bet on those steamy Atlanta afternoons those cooling seats are missed a bit?

Interesting to see the very different point of views regarding the wheels. Probably the one thing that has generated the most comments in the forum, PMs and real life.
Regarding the brakes, OEMs are indeed made by Brembo I think, but the front axle rotors are only 350mm, 1 piece and brake lines made of rubber. The new BBK is 380mm, 2 pieces rotors and stainless steel lines. This means better heat capacity and dissipation, more 'stable' rotors and lines, etc. This should have a very significant impact on the track in terms of endurance (and avoid to burn pads, rotors or even warp them as it happened before). I have never seen very definitive data regarding drilled vs. slotted rotors, and there are very minor pro's and con's. My recent experience with the drilled rotors on the 991 has been to find them obstructed with brake pads material making it more difficult to degas.

Those wheels look amazing in combo with the other mods!
Like others have said the black rims look good too but these just pull everything together.
Seats and brakes are amazing too, how's the comfort factor and performance difference?

Escort 9500ci install
Escort 9500ci install complete
Have been driving for a few days with the 9500ci now and am very pleased with the result as false alerts have dropped dramatically (less than 50% of alerts vs. 95% with my V1). One thing is tricky though, the factory setting for Laser is 'receiving', not 'shifting', so make sure you have the right setting before you hit the street
The radar detector is behind the plastic bumper and works well without being visible. Laser jammers are at the usual place:
The rear jammer is designed to be easily mounted on the license plate:
Inside the car, controls are installed at the right/behind the steering wheel. Not a big issue if they are not very visible since there are only a few buttons (and you almost only use the big 'Mute' button):
The main display goes into the 'ashtray' where it fits nicely. Again, with voice alerts, you do not need to look at it, unless when you are changing settings, and you better stop the car to do this anyhow!
Finally, the shop has integrated a green/red LED in the dashboard. I like this feature a lot as you do not have to look anywhere else to get confirmation of an alert.

I noticed in one of your earlier posts you installed the Escort 9500ci unit and I had some questions regarding your install. I’m thinking of installing the same unit in my new 991S cabrio. I’ve called a few authorized Escort dealers/installers in my area (Southern California-Orange County) and I have not been able to find someone who has installed this unit on a 991 yet. I'm trying to get an idea of how extensive the install will be.
Here are my questions:
1. Where was the radar unit mounted behind the bumper? Center, upper or lower portion of the bumper? Can you elaborate how it was mounted behind the bumper? I've heard the higher the radar unit is mounted on the bumper, the better the detection.
2. Are you getting good detection with the unit mounted behind the bumper?
3. I assume you had the GPS unit mounted near the car’s antenna. I’m wondering if the GPS unit and/or the radio antenna would interfere with each other. Since I have a cabrio I have no option but to mount it next to the car’s antenna.
