Took delivery of my 991S today (pics)

I drove it up to 110mph (180km/h) on a stretch on the way back. Had 50 km on odometer in dealer show room? Was a custom ordered one. Is that normal?

Auto start stop function has a mind of its own, works some times and not others and car restarts on its own when still stationary and foot on brake stopped at traffic light.

Have taken better quality pics taken by canon g12 but they fail to upload probably coz of size and I am no expert. The iphone ones seem to upload, let me know if you have requests of any particular area though I realize the net is already flooded by now.

Congrats!!!!! The start / stop has several prerequisites for the automatic engine stop to work. One of those is that the vehicle has been driven at more than 2 km/h since the last engine stop. If you're sure that didn't happen, another is that the driver must be detected by the seat sensor and the seat belt being connected. There may be an issue with one of those sensors.

Congratulations. The auto stop won't work if your in sport mode. Also my car was delivered with 13 miles so less than 50km. Not a big deal really

OMG OMG OMG - Red is sooooo cool. Congrats aamersa. I have serious love for that color but I could never pull it off. What is more "porsche" than red over black? Except maybe silver over red?

I'd definitely have raised the mileage issue with the dealer - but probably not worried about it too much. My vessel is in port and I should have the car within a few days - I'll let you know my mileage upon delivery.

Thanks guys.

You hear a lot of positive stuff about the 991, let me mention some minor silly issues (nothing serious)

The auto start stop function is BS and luckily can be disabled by pushing one button or simply by hitting the sport button. Doesn't belong in a sports car.

I was cruising 90km/hr in the city and took my foot off the accelerator hoping to slow it down, but guess what, it kept going, sailing is another useless feature for city driving.

There is a button for parking brake. A plastic key remains in the ignition all the time. Keyless entry acts funny at times.

There is no dual a/c control!!

I still need to figure out the pcm.

So far glad I got PSE coz it just makes the car feel so much sportier even though it doesn't add to performance. Also that sound gets some respect on the roads. Now that I have it, driving with it off seems boring.

Will keep you posted.

I thought there WAS a dual ac and found that to be odd in a tiny cabin. If there is no dual temp control why are there 2 temp readouts? Maybe you mean once air conditioning is on, they sync up, inseparably.

Curious. Thanks!

Can sailing be disabled? I drove this car extensively and didn't mind the feature - but if you are expecting engine braking that might be odd feeling - does sailing go away under "SPORT" mode?

(pic added for those who haven't seen air temp display.)

The dual climate as standard is true for US market, may not be in other markets.

The button that turns auto start / stop mode off also turns off the sailing feature. Both are there to enhance fuel consumption which isn't a priority when we are driving sportily.

Congrats! Also picked mine up yesterday (with 11 miles on it, for what its worth).

I totally agree that it feels a little boring with PSE switched off now. I've been driving it around town in sport and sport plus pretty much all the time, and on a side note I'm getting about 12mpg the way I am driving it, which was a little lower than I expected.

I LOVE it. A LOT.

Congrats..love the Guards Red.

Question for everyone who has one or knows about this. If you get the 7spd manual can you disable the auto on/off and sailing still? This sounds annoying as hell and I can't believe Porsche did this.
