No fellas - I built this car very specifically by hand with the exact custom options. This does not have the leather door panel trim. It does have leather on the doors, you are correct.

You are talking about two different things. There is the leather seats only car with vinyl doors. There is the full leather interior (which I have) which includes stitching on the doors. And you can add onto the car a $690 option called leather door panel TRIM (see configurator) which I do not have. It's not included in the full leather option - but leather doors are.

Similarly I don't have the leather dash trim. But I have a leather dash. The trim option encompasses additional surfaces.

That won't help us. That is a completely different door - mostly vinyl - no leather - no stitching. I drove one today. Mine is a full leather car so I got leather doors. But there is a further extension of the leather surfaces which is $690. See configurator.

Got it. I'm heading to the dealer this week and they have a few different versions in stock with various leather options. Should help me make up my mind.

Thanks again, Eric.

PS with espresso - ignore the exterior color in these shots - it's winter pm and it comes across dull - under midday sun it pops more.

Note rear wiper.

Rear wiper does not look cool (maybe looks too practical?), but it can be quite useful in rain or snow..... Nice colors!

Does natural leather feel different from the regular ones? maybe better texture?

To me, leather in Porsche is very high quality compared to BMW's standard "dakota" leather... Porsche's is like a very high quality leather jacket, and BMW's is something from inexpensive leather sofa...? While my Cayenne does not even have full leather interior.... but whenever backing up, my hand touches the leather seat, and I think the leather feel could not get better than that.... and then there is this "Natural Leather" option, so just curious....???

Thanks - but rear wiper is my favorite option. I never would have a 911 without it. Use it or not - even if I lived in SoCal I would get rear wiper. Love it. Looks retro-cool.

FWIW the new 991 has rain sensing rear wiper - I got splashed the other day and it kicked on, alone without the front.

As far as natural leather - it feels cold and oily. Best description I can give - cold and oily like a well-greased baseball mitt pulled from a dark closet. Like the cool underneath side of your pillow on a hot summer night. That's all I can say on that.

I would think the rear wiper would be a safety requirement in CO.

Nah - our weather here is typically over 300 days of blue sky per year. I played golf every week last year except 2. No wiper mandate. I just think it looks like a 1973-77 911. Classic look, the wiper.

I will say this year has been acutely snowy for some weird reason - but we currently have no snow on the ground and it's 72 today!!

Thanks for the good words, all.

I agree - it's a must on any 911 Coupe. Your car is beautiful!

Sorry to bring up such an old thread, but could you take some pics of the interior during the day? I may be getting into another 991 (long story) and am thinking of espresso leather, but want to get a better idea of the texture of natural leather. Thanks!

gam3ovr, having poured over the order process recently myself, i wouldn't waste the $ on the add't leather door panels. i think the prior posts in this thread sorted it out correctly-- no it is not equivalent the door panels in leather that ericp's pictures show. those are only obtainable in leather if you do the full leather options, which i strongly recommend if you can do it. good luck!
