Drop the Base (C2 991 Content)
Here are a few pictures of my 991 waiting to be registered, still sitting in the show room floor. Canīt wait to fully get my hands on it in about a month when the roads have cleared. I will be posting pictures and thoughts in this thread once its in our garage!
These pics were all shot with ISO way too high, so I tried to salvage them, hence the smokiness in some of them!

My first impressions of the car stationary: The 7-speed shifter feels super sorted and I absolutely love the "click" it makes when shifting, reminds of the open H-pattern R8 shifter. The shifter is placed in a new place, which actually feels really good and more natural for me. The clutch is not as lethal as it was in the 997 GT3 RS, which is good. The interior, from what I managed to inspect, is on a total new level compared to e.g my old 997 TT. Headroom is drastically better than before (used to be an issue for me at 6ī6) and it seems like there is a nice amount of space in the back. All in all I love the color combo and the wheels are spectacular, the 295s in the back really give it the proper stance.

The TT (997.1) was a great car, but I moved on to different things. I miss the car but not the turbo lag . This was before the 991 came out, so I guess it was easy?

CONGRATS!!!
I'm 6'5" (265pnds) with meat hooks and a shoe size which really has no business in a sports car , I've got a 991 manual on order as well but (I guess like everyone else) have only been able to test drive the PDK... and I have to say, I was very impressed with how involving/fun that was.
Thats said, there is no substitute for good old heel and toe action nor the free revving of that awesome exhaust...
But I am wondering what the footwell will feel like when you start moving your feet around in there working the peddles.
I'd be very interested to get your impressions when yo take it out for a drive (also as it pertains to the difference in character between the C and CS).
Cheers!!!

Congrats
What a great looking build. Enjoy! I'm 6'2" and headroom was good, but not great, especially with a helmet on. I have a long torso, not long legs -leg room is fantastic. But head room requires me to keep my seat set virtually on the floor, and on the floor with a helmet - I brought one to my test drive - quite a few stares.

Congrats on the order buddy! MT is truly the key to really be one with the car . I have size 13 kicks and I will definitely report back on my impressions once Iīve set sail sort of speak .

Congrats. Car looks fantastic. Love those wheels.
Shifter looks great.
...and I wonder, would a stock manual shift boot be possible to cover the PDK shifter base? It would look so much better!

Thanks! Neither can I!
