My 991 S build

My 991 S build
Sorry all for not being more computer literate, but if I did this correctly, my build sheet should be attached as a PDF to this post. I heard from the dealer today that my car was "born" today and now it is just a matter of sitting back and waiting for the car, and the bill.
Like all of you I spent a great deal of time thinking and rethinking what I should include and exclude. I had a 2010 997S.2 Conv. that I purchased a year ago and traded in for this car so I knew a number of features missing from my old car that I wanted in this one. And, of course, like most people, budget concerns did stop me from just hitting the "select all".
With luck it will get here by the end of the month, but more likely around tax day. I can't wait! That will also give me time to try to learn how to post pictures so I can do so once it arrives. All of the builds I have reviewed on this site have been fantastic. What makes this special to me, however, is that it will be mine.
Let me know if you have problems with the attachment. Thanks

Thanks, I hope so. I debated the black seat and door inserts and the red floor mats trimmed in black for quite a while. I like the classic silver/red. It was not that much extra, but it all does add up. In the end, I thought it would make the car stand out just a bit. I hope it looks as good as it did on paper.

good choice for exterior color too. That silver will always look clean, even when dirty. I've owned two vettes in the past, one black and the other was Navy Blue....never again. Impossible to keep clean...even for two hours.

If you go to the Porsche website and do a build, you can spec the red interior. I don't know of anything with the black inserts. I will post pictures when my car comes in 4-6 weeks.

I had a navy BMW Z3 - looked great when clean - those dark colors are much richer. But I agree - impossible to keep clean.

I have always liked this combo since seeing it in a vintage British roadster. I am glad I am not the only one. If you need a salesman who knows how to order you one, let me know.

I don't know, but my guess is no. I will ask. Have you heard what changes are planned. No, don't tell me!

I will. What Is your build? You could do what I did in reverse - do basic black with red inserts to help keep costs down. I have a bud with an Audi S4 with black seats with red inserts. The car is more gun metal than black. Very sharp!

Congrats! I think you might be ahead of my car. Mine is in QC and the VIN hasn't been issued yet. I think once it gets loaded onto the ship, it will be entered into your dealer's website on the Porsche web site.

I don't have a vin yet either. Is QC before or after build? Anyway, even if they are a few days apart, they could catch-up waiting for a ship. Where is your dealer?

Additionally, this color combination is bit too fancy for the practical 4wd base car with black brake calipers... I will feel guilty whenever people comment on the color....
