991 and 458

Are they supposed to be competitors? Looks like 458 has more muscle. I thought the turbo would be a match. Y this unfair contest?

Looks like ferrari's new era involves front engined V12s with 700plus hp. Porsche needs to stop trickling the increase in hp if they are to remain competitive.

Agreed. I am not saying a carrera s should go head to head with a 458, but we didn't even get a 5% increase in Hp with the S model...and let's not even mention the base carrera model.

The clip is more about showcasing than staging any real performance testing between the 2 cars. Obviously 458 is going to win as it has the genuine super car performance. And aamersa don't buy what you say that the turbo is no match for 458 either. You have obviously never been in a tuned or modded turbo and you only need to see some of the clips against cars like tts and 458 to see that. And 991tt will be a complete game changer for 458 no question in my mind about that.

I actually said I thought the turbo would be a fair match for the 458, not the 991S. But not sure how the 991 turbo will face up against new the F12 berlinetta.

No prob. Must have misinterpreted you. And I'm sure 991tt will at the very least give F12 a damn good run for its money.

GT3 -- "mit sportreifen" note means non-street tires, yes?

Also, text talks about torque vectoring and PASM, but not about PDCC, correct? Is there an article that goes along with the short description that would shed light on whether the 991S was equipped with SPASM and/or PDCC?
