Congrats on the nice car.... Makes me wonder how the plat finished wheels would look on an Agate grey 991

Thanks. I will no more when I see it I good light. I got it to hide break dust and because I wanted to try a bit darker wheel to break up the light silver which was a bit monochrome. - like black wheels on a white car. They should be lighter than the agate grey - do you want a non-metal look that is lighter than the body color. I will post better pictures. I hope that will help.

Oh, BTW those silk platinum wheels are beautiful in conbination with silver exterior.
Congratulations! best looking 991 so far.
Thanks! I have yet to see a combo I have not liked - maybe yellow with a convertible red top.

What is your build?

He got me in touch with Melissa Witek who is a Customer Consultation Specialist for Porsche Cars North America, Inc. She was great as well and made it all happen - I am sure that there are others like her that are responsible for other parts of the country - but Tom would be happy to work with you.

At least now, if your dealer says it can not be done - you have proof that it can.

It added about $1,600 USD to the cost and delayed things by 3 days. If you go to your dealer someplace they have a wall of paint samples and leathers and you can get your car in any (and possibly all) of them. But be careful, some can extend build times by quite a lot - mine used the standard black interior as the contrast color and the standard red. There are a number of reds, for example, you could get the inside in Gaurds red to match the exterior. Make sure you ask about the impact on delivery. From other threads, contrasting stitching also seems to be a real buzz kill to the delivery date.

Just tell everyone you saw it here first!
See I had a feeling it WAS possible!!!
Dealer told me, no go on the 2 tone red... I'm definitely going to be using the info here to get what I want.

Thanks for the info, you're the man!!
(still feeling like a newbie? )

Cheers!

Thanks. It was your build string that got me started with this BB, and my first mod - the clear side blinkers which will be installed tomorrow. Thank you again!

You think I will be offended? FYI, she is going to be at the dealership tomorrow to see it and see me drive it away. She would be next to me in the car except for two things - I hate being laughed at by beautiful women and there would not be enough assets left after my wife made a few calls to lawyers, judges and such for me to continue the payments.

What is your build?
Nothing spectacular like yours, White exterior, Black interior, Carrera classic wheels, 7sp manual, and very few comfort options.
This is my first 911, For now I will enjoy it plain and simple, next time, I will go crazy with my build.
It should be in the port in a week or so, Cant wait!

The car I test drove was black with a standard gray interior. It was beautiful. It is strange how black, a color known to hide things, really sets of the undulating curves of the 991. It is a fantastic choice - but difficult to keep clean, especially in the next few weeks when, because of pollen, every car is turned a sickening yellow/green daily. I can't wait to see pictures of it when it comes in - it is going to be an instant classic! Congrats and drive it in good health!
