Trading the '10 V8 Vantage for a 991 S
I'm thinking pretty hard about it...
Seems to me that the 991 is a large step forward performance wise, the looks debate is subjective between the brands so I'm not going there... but I do like the changes made between the looks of the 991 to the 997. I have been Porsche before and think that this just might be time to jump back in...
Anyone here driven both?

I'll go there. The V8 vantage is one of the finest looking automobiles ever built. If the decision were up to looks alone, I would have found a way to squeak into one of these instead of my GTS.

Mine is a stick, brake squeal has not been a problem on my car although I know the problem is rampant.
I am really impressed with the new 911. It's not about exclusivity, as some others have commented in the Aston board. I didn't buy the Aston because of being the only one on the block to have one...
The new 991 seems to be a great step forward for the brand. I just need to figure out from all of the performance options what is a must have vs what would be nice to have vs what is unnecessary. the future 991 derivatives should be amazing...
In terms of performance between the Aston and 991 S, for street driving they are really equals, as are most cars in this price range, I've tracked the Aston (loved it) but obviously not the 991 S but I would imagine the stock 991 S will leave the Aston V8 Vantage in it's trail.
