Help on car lease - ASAP please

I am considering leasing this car from my local dealership:

http://hennessy.porschedealer.com/ne...07139/info.php

I want a 10,000 mile/year lease for 36 months. Can you help me figure out what a "good deal" would be? Who knows what they will try to offer...

You should try to negotiate a price of at least 4% off list. Then, assuming you meet Porsche's top tier credit requirements, you should insist on the base money factor of .002 even if the dealer quotes you a higher rate. I think the residual for that car is 59%.

Just got mine at Jack Daniells Porsche. Use their website and there's a tab on the left side 'Payment Estimator, Find a car around the same price and fill in the details (trade-in, money down) It will give you a rough estimate of lease $ & purchase $.
Many of the dealers web sites have these tabs.

Here's a screen shot of the spreadsheet I used to calculate leases in California... must apologize for the updates, been up since 2AM...

Here's a spreadsheet for the S you are looking at from Hennessy and then another for a local offer I received.

I am not sure what your tax rate is in Atlanta Georgia, so I used 9.75% as a reference. And put 6000 in cap reduction (downpayment) instead of acquistion cost this time for better comparison...

For an S with msrp of 122k, 5% off, 60% residual, .002 money factor, 36 mo term, 10k miles, 6000 cap reduction, 9.75% tax, etc... your payment will come out to around $1,524/month.

Hope this helps...

I'm curious how many tiers PFS has when it comes to leasing. Assuming top tier is 740 and second tier is 700 FICO, do they even offer tier three financing through PFS or do they go to a third party at that point? I hear PFS is very conservative with their portfolio.

There are quotes for tiers at 750+ and then 800+ ... And here's an example of a lease offer I received through mailers...

You show a cap reduction of 6,000. But a drive off in the 3,500 ish... do you mean the total drive off would be the 6K plus the 3,500 or do you mean the 6K is a dealer discount in the car?

Yes, total drive-off is different from drive-off. Since each deal is different, it would be 6000+3500ish for total drive-off as a sample. The sheet I have is used as a guide and not to replace actual calcs... pardon for the confusion...

Thanks for the clarification. Im just looking at a 911 S (991) its 105,000. Just trying to figure out what a 3 year/10 mile lease should run. I have credit of 865. Looking for minimal drive off.

Care to take a stab at it?

Thanks.

Credit tiers and their effects on MF?

My BMW and 911 are leased. BMW has 4 tiers (leasing), but you get the best money factor in the top 2 tiers so effectively its 3 tiers for leasing. An auto enhanced FICO of 675 gets you a money factor at BMWs buy rate - no markup. Then with each tier financial services hits you with a .0002 hike (the dealer can also add to the rate independently).

How does this system work with Porsche? I got my 09' Carrera when they were overstocked and desperate to move metal. I got the .00143 mf with less than perfect credit.

I just got the wife a new X6 in May and got hit with a .0002 hike from BMW (they went to tiers in 09' so this was the first time I've ever paid points on a lease - never a late car payment..ever across 7 vehicles).

So, does PFS use auto enhanced FICO, and if so what are the tiers and what are the penalty increments as you move down the scale?

Of course this is all relevant to deciding whether to buy the 997.2 which has been sensational, or get a little sodomized on a 991 lease (anything over .0026 from PFS would be a deal breaker).

Thanks,

P.S. I personally would never ask anyone at a dealer these questions, for no other reason that I wouldn't trust their answers...

I just leased my 991 last week. With a credit score of 859 they gave me a money factor of .0020. Its the best porsche has to offer. I also got the car discounted 7%.

Good deal... if you don't mind sharing, how many years and the residual %?

MSRP: 111,925
Discounted Price: 104,449.01 (6.7%)
Residual: 57,081.75 (51%) This actually might have been an oversight on my part I think when negotiating over the phone they told me it was gonna be 52%. (Live and learn)
Term: 48 months
Miles: 10,000/year
Drive Off: 6,373 (3000 Cap reduction)
Payment:1,350 Including LA Tax

The reason i went 48 months instead of 36 was three fold. One is this body style will be good for at least 4 years. Two is the difference in the math was around 120 dollars a month when looking at a 36 month lease. Ignoring the time value of money 120 times 36 is 4320. Divided by the payment of 1350 is 3.2 months worth of payments. Third and lastly is the warranty is 4 year 50K miles.

All of the above combined with the fact that I just sold my 997 2 years into a 3 year lease and made 6,000 on the car lead me to this lease. I hope the above helps.

WOW 859 is amazing! Especially given that a perfect score would be 850.
