New 991 S 1600 dealer miles. How does this impact the price?
I got to 49 and have seen the light. I am finally buying a 991 Carrara S PDK
I have a couple of options I test drove yesterday from 2 different dealers. They seem pretty hard to find they both only had 1 Carrera S PDK
Dealer 1 Black, black leather MSRP $116,000 but with 1750 miles on as a demonstrator was offered to me for $109,000 ...they just said this is what we wiil sell to you for. No haggling
Dealer 2 has the one I prefer also has the Burmester Radio and the sports exhaust system and the sports chrono package. Its $126,600 and it has 1600 miles on it as used by the dealer principal. They reduced it by $3000 because I did not really want the sports exhaust system. This forum seems to suggest that 4% $5k is reasonable. My question is what about the miles The first dealer said I am giving you this price because of the miles.
I was thinking of offering $118,000 to reflect the miles. I was thinking anything sub $120,000 is good. I just wondered what you experts thought about the mileage and what I should pay
Thanks for ny feedback

With 1600 miles, it's effectively a used car, and who knows how the dealer has driven it? I would expect at least another $3K off because of the miles.
Also, if you haven't ruled it out, I'd consider manual transmission. Enjoy working the gears before 49 becomes 59.

CT dealers have offered me discounts in excess of 5% on brand new, zero mile 991s. I would not touch a dealer demo with nearly 2,000 miles without a much bigger discount. With the 2013s less than 2 months away, those cars are essentially year old used cars and should be priced accordingly.

I waited many, many years before buying my first 911 so I decided to order exactly what I wanted. Having said that, I would ask what they will give you off MSRP if you order one (3.5% to 4.5% is my guess) and what they will sell the demo for and see if they will give you enough off the demo to make you want to drive it home. Also, if they will certify the 2012 demo it comes with a Porsche extended warranty which adds some value.
I have a 2012 991S, but the same car in a couple of months will be a 2013 and later model year will be more valuable on a future trade than the 2012's.

You guys were very helpful here i had not really thought of these as old models. I have waited 49 years i can wait a few more weeks. Is there any reason not to wait for a 2013 Research on this site shows they will be here by August.

Like others have suggested, you are buying a new used car. The pricing is not great at all. I would expect at least 10% off on these demos. They probably have been driven hard as demos and not broken in appropriately. So if you are paranoid about break in, it is not worth buying, you'll never be able to sleep peacefully at night.

I ordered a 2013 in April with a mid June completion date and a July delivery at 4% off list. If you can find a dealer with a build slot open in June, you can have a your 2013 in July. I think a new 2013 is well worth the wait unless you can get a substantially greater discount on the demo.

Ditto on 10% off for a demo and 3-5% off for custom orders. Currently, well optioned ones on the lot are the best buys because typical sales are on lighter optioned cars.
