I've enjoyed reading many of the 991 threads getting prepared for the arrival of mine. I was told yesterday that it was on a boat (5/16) - but I don't know which boat. As I'm in NYC I think it is headed to Davisville RI, but again not sure. Any insight would be appreciated.

I'm confused - the schedule says it left May 16th (the day my dealer said my car left) yet, on the website below it says Ocean Highway left Emden May 14th - I'm wondering if my car is on another boat?

Ocean Highway did leave earlier than scheduled. I have been keeping a close eye on her because I have some cargo on board....

 

thanks - this makes me think my car may be on SHANGHAI HIGHWAY, I guess I can wait an extra 3 day!

 

So how does the dealer know when the car was put on a ship and what ship....so far my dealer seems to think they get no notice until the car shows up on the truck in their parking lot...would be great to show them I am armed with some information that they can use to track this down...whether they don't know it or if they do but don't want the hassle of checking....

 

I get the same feeling that they kind of guess at which boat it's on. Mine told me Olympian Highway or Seven Seas. They are within a couple days of each other to Houston.

Just got the call that my car arrived at the dealership today. I was correct - it was on the Shanghai Highway and arrived at Davisville Port on May 28th.
Now the worst wait, the dealership is closed on Sundays so it looks like I will get it Tuesday. So close yet so far!

Congrats. Only days now. You must be super excited.

This is exciting info for me, too, because I may have shared ship with you. PCNA says Shanghai Highway, PAG says Cougar Ace (currently south of Nantucket). If Shanghai Ace, Monday is a real possibility!

 

Oh, and can you see it at dealer through windows? But that is perhaps more torture than necessary...

My dealer in NYC and the car is on the roof of the dealership! That's how the call went "i received a blue/black cab with your name on it and it's on the roof". TORTURE is correct, I received the call 1/2 hour before the dealership closed so will have to wait until Monday to take a peek, hopefully will be mine Tuesday.
