Front bumper center plate
Anyone know how the front center plate (number 6) comes out? there seems to be a hole at the top and I'm wondering if it gets pulled down and out.

They are tabs...I beleive the bumper has the female tab and #6 has the male tab. See the attached picture. The jackass that worked on the car broke the upper tabs (red circles) because he had no idea what he was doing.

Yes, there are just a standard tab...guess it wasn't that obvious to the guys until they took it apart. I'll try and take a picture of the "center plate" when I get home to try and show you how it works. I'm sure you could figure it out when you have your bumper removed. I'm now starting to think they may have tried to remove it without taking the bumper off...

Okay, I'll bite, you're holding your license plate on with magnets? Tell me more, including how hard it is to take the front bumper off.
