Ever since I got my car back from the very long recall stay, I can't help but feel that my steering is stiffer than it was prior to the software updating they said they did. At first I thought it may be just my imagination but lately I am thinking that perhaps it is not. I am not talking parking lot speeds only, I mean even when cruising. It used to be a very soft steering prior to dealer visit. Is it possible the software update made the steering stiffer?

 

Mine is about the same stiffness as my 997 but I can feel the road better with the 991 and I just got mine so maybe the software was updated in mine also.

I read somewhere that there were some complaints regarding the steering being too soft and that Porsche will "change" the settings for 2013 model year in order to stiffen it. Maybe they already did that with the software update.

 

I hope you are not getting the blue screen of death one of these days! I am concerned more and more about the silicon bits and bytes running the show... We all know, they will work faultless for ever. Yes?? Perhaps a Singer is in my future instead. Hard retro going forward!!
