Here's a shot following PCA DE at Watkins Glen at the end of May. It was my first ever DE event in any car and in the 'Green' group. Sorry for the quality of the picture...I have since hit 'reset' so can't produce another.

...at the end of a, ahem, spirited drive in the California hills - 1.5G of peak lateral acceleration. I'm surprised the peak acceleration during a launch control start is still above 0.9G.

But seriously, it would be interesting to see the threshold level but I also suspect that this can depend on a car's set up (stock or tuned i.e. suspension, springs, etc.) as well as options: PDCC or non PDCC, not to mention tires. In my case I have all the mechanical bells and whistles available except for PCCB for example.

One of the instructors said that car has been launched 16,000 times. Sixteen-thousand times!!! And has not needed any maintanence.
This is not your M3 or GT-R sensitive dual clutch. This is a Porsche.

I was at the Porsche World Roadshow where they had a 997.2 Turbo S to demonstrate launch control. They launched it about every 5 minutes all day long.
