Which of these would you chose? Cab/Coupe
My dealer gave me an option. Stick with my 991S Coupe September build (listed below) or go for a Cabriolet that they just got in. I drove the cab today and it was stupendous but I've never lived with one and would like opinions and which you would go for. As you see the options are different namely no PDCC and no Sport Exhaust on the cab. I need to reply by the morning. Btw, he's giving me mucho dinero discount on both but loads more on the cab. They are also willing to replace the wheels on the cab for CS platinum. Both are 2013 cars.
My current order:
991 S (US spec with all the standard features)
Platinum Silver

SportDesign steering wheel

I've got a cab and I say cab HANDS DOWN! with the top up I forget sometimes I'm in a cabriolet. it's really that good.
Unfortunately, as much as I recommend the cab I also recommend the sports Exhaust. This is the one option I'm happy I added at the end and I couldn't imagine getting the car without it. The sound really brings a smile to my face.
I heard this option can be added later on though.

Cabriolet....There is no substitute. I live in Michigan and we can't drive with the top down all year. I have driven ragtops for the past 25 years as my second car. I love the feel of that wind blowing and sun shining. The Cab you are considering colors and equipment look great. I would pretty much go that way if I were about to pull the trigger on a 991 (other than PDK). Cab and MT for me.

The factory order price is $2,800 that's why I'm confused. And from my understanding the factory exhaust includes the on/off button.

I think it really depends on whether you want a coupe or a cab. I have PSE on my car and it is a must have option IMO; however, I believe you can accomplish something very similar with aftermarket exhaust (less expensive and less weight) or add PSE at the dealer.

Thanks to all for your input. The other notable omission on the cab is PASM.
The world of cabriolet ownership is an unfamiliar one to me. Whilst I can see myself enjoying the open road in an open car I am unaware of the downsides, if any.
Due to the cab missing some core options I'm leaning towards keeping to my original order. I do know that if the cab had like for like options as my build and it was sitting at the dealership today I would have gone for it.

Have you driven the cab yet? If I recall Sport PASM w/PDCC were very important to you. Has that now changed? You may not even like driving the cab without those options.
Really boils down to whether you want a cab or a coupe clear and simple, and that you have to answer yourself. Good luck with your decision.

I did drive it but due to it not being a dealer demo I did not want to put it through its true paces. It felt good and there was no hint of body flex etc. just a joy to drive. It offers a different driving experience to the coupe. The problem is that I'm not entirely convinced it's right for me.

911S coupes and cabs both have PASM standard. Sport PASM is an option on the coupe only and is not available on the cab.

The parts alone to add PSE are more then $2100 - Suncoast has the PSE for the 991S for $2500 and $3000 for the base 991. Installation without the interior button function is a 3 to 4 hour job (my dealer's rate is $135/hr) and 10 hours if you want the button to work. I was quoted over $5,000 with install and tax to install on my base 991 and the PSE parts are not readily available yet from parts.

I think you should stay with your coupe. I am a huge cab advocate but the lack of the PDCC that you clearly want will be a disappointment. The other thing is I personally like the sport steering wheel MUCH better than the multifunction especially w PDK.
