Hard Laps in a 991S at Summit Point!
My Dad was nice enough to let me use his 991 Carrera S at a NASA event this past weekend. Mid-way through the session, I was black-flagged due to my brake lights staying on even when the brake pedal was not depressed. This turned out to be caused by a loose brake light switch connector near the top of the brake pedal. My fast laps were in the 1:25-1:26 range with a totally stock setup (Pirelli P-Zero tires). According to the stock G-force meter, I was pulling right around 1.385 lateral Gs (pic in post #21). Not sure how accurate that number is, but it's good for bragging, regardless.
Here are two vids. AC Cobra can be seen spinning in front of me at 10:25 into the second vid. Don't forget to watch in 1080 with sound!

Thanks Kona! I was using a GoPro Hero2. I have heard great things about Harry's Lap Timer, so I'm sure you'll be pleased. As you could tell, however, the wind noise and buffeting above 110 mph with the windows open is ridiculous.

The bufffeting on track is my least favorite thing about the 991. Someone suggested to me that tilting the sunroof might help with the buffeting (by allowing air to escape the roof). I don't know if they'll allow it at the track but I plan to try it on the sly -- I will report back.

I think someone already did that and although it worked, he got black flagged. Check out the plexiglass solution in Serge's thread (https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ournal-41.html).

Yeah, in my opinion, turn 3 is one of the most difficult turns on the track to perfect. The gravel at track-out helps, but there's still not too much room for error if you are pushing the limits of the car. I can't ever see turn 4 catching me out in a HPDE/TT, but I can see it being a very menacing turn in racing situations. As for turn 9, I can definitely understand people having issues, as it's a high speed turn with undulations near the apex and hardly any run-off area. Pushing the limits in turn 9 can be quite dicey.
