One side of me says waste of money while the wild side says go out on the lim and onsider it if you have funds. If you want the most efficient and best performing NA engine short of the GT3 coming out soon then I would take it if budget allowed. The X51 package added to the 997(.2) made a noticeable different when my friend took me out. While 30Hp is not a lot you also get increased torque which is welcome in the 991s chassis.

Yes there are way better things to spend your money on and I have not read any reviews of the effects of the package on the 991 but I really can't see Porsche charging you that much money for something that is completely unnoticeable.

Just a different opinion ..

I had previously heard there was little to no torque gain. Are you now saying there is? If it's around 20 lbs I would be in favor of the upgrade....even with the 13K premium. Especially if the torque was available at low to mid range.
