snow tires

summers almost over. time to start thinking about buying wheel/tires for the snow. any suggestions? my thoughts are 19" as opposed to 20" and also concerned about width as well as need for TPMS

Wondering if my 19 set from the Targa4S will fit. They are basically the Carrera sport multi spoke rims - would be a huge great savings. If you are not opposed to using the same Rim I know Tirerack has 20 inch winter rubber - go with the Dunlop!

I called Tirerack to order snow tires for my wife's and my car. The only snow tire they have that fits the factory 20" wheel is the Michelin Pilot Alpine PA4. That is it. Yikes.

Can't wait to hear how you think it drives in the snow. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
The Vett I had was almost not driveable in the snow and ice we get here.

Should be OK. I have had a number of rear drive cars that I drove all winter. Tires make all the difference.

Especially when you have the weight over the tires.

I would definitely go with 19" just to have more choices in tires. You'll also save money. Are you going to get a second set of rims? That would of course be required to run 19" tires. They finally after many years offer tires wide enough to fit stock rear rims, though technically some people have stretched 265 width tires onto 11" rear rims. I personally wouldn't do that, but to each their own!

I would go 19", but have 20" options. Please give me a call guys. I'd be happy to help!
