991S In The Garage - GT Silver
#32
Thanks again for all the "Congrats" Messages. I really appreciate everyones enthusiasm. It makes this experience all the more fun.
I washed it today and installed my clear side markers. Attached are a few new pictures to answer some of the questions and requests posted earlier:
- I absolutely LOVE the Brushed Aluminum. It looks and feels GREAT. I know some of the pieces can be purchased and installed. I would check Suncoast or your dealer. The reason I say "Dealer" is becuase Suncoast wants $168.00 + $60.00 Shipping for a Cargo Liner. My dealer ordered me one for $187.00. Parts can be negotiated too.
- The interior is Full Black Leather. I think my flash and poor photography skills are making it look grey.
- The car does have PASM, indicated by the more pronounced black front spoiler and the 10mm lower ride height (Even with a Manual Transmission). The rear spoiler also deploys further than cars without PASM. One thing MT Cars do not have is Launch Control.
More pics to come after I polish, seal, and wax. . . probably this weekend. I'll try to get some good photos outside in the sun.

GT Silver Close Up
Sorry for the teaser photo, but so many have asked to post GT Silver photos so I thought I'd post these close up shots in the sun. I'm still in the process of detailing. . . . . I've polished and sealed the paint. I just need to wax it now (all surfaces that won't be covered in Xpel Film next week). Hopefully, I will complete it tomorrow and be able to take some nice complete car shots in the sun. Until then:

A Few More Pics
All Detailed and had Xpel Film put on Hood, Fenders, Front Bumper, Mirrors, Rocker Panels, A-Pillars, Front section of Roof (section in front of sun roof), and Headlights/Foglights. Turned out very nice!!

Glorious!
The more I see pics like yours of the 991 the more I like and appreciate the minimalism of the 911 design in its current form. Without GT spoilers and overly extended body parts it just looks so balanced and beautiful in a back to basics kind of way. Love it.

GT Silver is a special color (more expensive) & unlike Platinum Silver which is just a normal metallic color. Wonder how does it look like if you compare the color side by side on a identical car? GT Silver is the German racing color just like British Racing Green for the Brits. IMHO, this is one of the best looking color besides White & Metallic Dark Blue on the 991.
