Looking at this car

I have been building basically this car for the last month or two, only as a base and not an S. With some different options. Then out of nowhere I find basically the same car I have been building only this one is an S at a dealer not too far from my house. They list the car at $129,925, and are offering it to me for $123,916 out the door. That comes out to about a 10% discount i believe. its a 2013 and has not been test driven yet, wich is nice.
Options:
630 - Int Light Pkg for Rear Compart
625 - Porsche Entry & Drive
603 - Bi-Xenon(TM)hdlghts incl.PDLS
541 - Seat ventilation (front)
342 - Seat heating (front)
276 - Automatically dimming mirrors
P39 - Prem Pkg Plus w 14-way seats
693 - 6 disc CD/DVD changer
690 - SiriusXM(R) & HD Radio(R) rcvr
680 - BOSEŠ Surround Sound-System
P37 - BOSEŠ Audio Package
322 - Power Sport seats (left)
321 - Power Sport seats (right)
022 - Instrument Dials in Black
840 - SportDesign steering wheel
636 - ParkAssist (front and rear)
XSC - Porsche Crest on headrests
24951 - Carpet in deviating color
CNL - Wing mirror (lower part) paint
998 - Natural leather interior
748 - Electric folding ext. mirrors
640 - Sport Chrono Package
446 - Wheel caps color Porsche crest
427 - 20-inch Carrera Classic wheel
176 - Sport Exhaust System
P06 - Power Sport Seats (14-way)

I was surprised they offered the discount immediately. I live about 6 hours away so I have not been to the dealer. Both the finance mgr and sales mgr have called me in the past two days to talk with me more about the car. Since i was thinking base not S it is more then I planned on spending so I'm on the fence right now. Do you think thats about as much as I can expect them to go down or would you try for more?

10% discount on the msrp would be $12,992 off... making it approx $117k

I think he means with discount including delivery fee's and stuff.

@OP: I'd take it if I were you.. It's the car you want and 10% discount is pretty good at a 'new' car if you ask me.

Yes sorry for the confusion I was referring to the final price after discount and including tax, title, registration etc.

There's something to say about being able to pick up one immediately, especially if it has 0 miles driven at the dealership, but I can think of a lot of options that would reduce the price more than the 5% they have offered. That said, if you really like the options and would have ordered them anyway, then get the full 10% and go for it!!

Yes I agree there are a few options I would change. I was building with Burmester not Bose, as I keep reading how fantastic it is. I would also have not built one with a few of the options in here but they are not terrible so I can 'live' with them. It has Instrument dials in Black. Isn't that standard anyway, I couldn't find that option listed in the configurator. I see white, yellow, red but not Black as an option.

In the "S", the rev counter is not exactly black, looks like dark silver to me.
This car has the black rev counter option, like the Base 991

It's all up to you,....if the monetary savings are greater in your mind compared to a car custom tailored by you,...then yes, grab it!

If there are doubts, pass on it and get exactly what you want.

Still wondering if they will come down more. This is their first offer before I even asked for a discount. Can't hurt to ask right??

I would ask to look at the invoice and then negotiate from there if you are serious about buying the car.

If that is their first offer then they will come down more. I agree with chuck, look at the invoice, you can figure it out yourself on edmunds, and see how much more room you have. I also agree a bird in the hand is better than having to wait AS LONG AS its optioned out the way you want. The "S" is worth the extra, and I am fine with my Bose audio.
