Yep, I debated this and somewhat agree with you... the sales consultant and I reviewed and concluded that the crest looks much more elegant... I will continue to noodle on this one as I still got few weeks to go...

One thing to look at before it locks is the Brushed Aluminum Trim. I purchased it on mine and, IMO, it looks AMAZING. It replaces the standard metal looking dash and door panel trim, and the lower console trim piece. If you are interested, I'll take some pictures and post them for you. It is a pretty reasonable option, compared to other trim options.

No matter what, this is going to be one BRAUTIFUL 991!!

They say mid nov don't have a date yet....since I've locked my order now finally expecting to hear from them soon..

 

It's my first Porsche so wanted to be sure I don't miss out and regret about anything later..it's hard to imagine I could've bought 2 M3s with this money...but wth...it's a 911!

 

I was wondering about that too. Hopefully they can firm up the build date so car might get here before year end or shortly after.

 

You may consider eliminating high gloss window trim. Black looks awesome and sporty on GT Silver (save $330), and Porsche Crest on center storage lid (save $395) since you will have the crests on the seat head rests. I think it might look a bit busy with 3 crests and it will probably feel more comfortable on your elbow if it is smooth. This would free up some $$ for the Aluminum Trim.

I'll keep my mouth shut from here. Just an opinion. No matter what, this is going to be one SWEET build!!

 

Dhill911 I'm going to attempt to remove the crest on center storage lid as I agree it may prove to be uncomfortable on the arm (don't need Porsche crest imprint on the arm ) I hope it doesn't delay my build...will check today...

Regarding Al trim, I understand SD steering wheel doesn't have Al option for its shiny center rim, I wonder how'd it match with Aluminum trim?

Honest question here: What benefit is the option "XRP Wheel spacers, 5 mm 490.00"? Is it for looks, or does it actually help traction & stability somehow?

Per my understanding it helps with both but I'm getting it purely for looks..the wider track would go very nicely with wide body IMO...
