I went to configure a Carrera S on the Porsche website and when it came to choosing a wheel, it seems like the only color option is to make it platinum. However, I see many cars posted with photos with black wheels. Is there an option to get this from Porsche or are owners having their wheels painted?

Look for the slider to the right of the options box so you can scroll down to see the additonal choices. You should see:

Wheels painted Platinum (semi-gloss) $950


Wheel center caps with colored Porsche Crest $185


Wheels painted exterior color $1,635


Wheels painted Black $1,635


Wheels painted deviating exterior color $2,225


Wheel spacers, 5 mm

Moving the slider is necessary for all the option boxes

 

It is pretty fun to make so many changes with regards to wheels as well as having the wheels Body color...

 

Or you play with aftermarket choices.

 

From what I understand black or exterior color painted wheels have been taken off the options list for a while. I think you can probably spec them at the dealer, but it will cause delays in your cars production.
