Great Drives

Last Sunday i took a ride with 2 friends in western NC, we hit part of the Diamondback loop, tracked the Blue Ridge parkway northeast. There was my black 991S, A 996 GT3, and a GTR. We started with 226 to 226A, then caught the parkway in LIttle switzerland. Next time. Ill finish the loop down Rt. 80 through Mt Mitchell. The Go Pro was mounted on the GT3.

BD, thank you for posting. Glad you had a wonderful drive. I've got to do the diamondback. It looks stunning. How did the car handle?
The BRP is one of my favs. Last spring we drove the entire length of the BRP and carried on to the Shenendoah all the way to Fort Royal and it was great. I need to do it again.

I have yet to do the entire BRP, bits and pieces over the years. Something to look forward to and explore in the 991.

I took the car out for a 25 mile spin around my backyard. In the hills around my home (at the tail end of the Cumberland Plateau) the autumn leaves are still very pretty and in the valleys the cotton fields are ready to be harvested. The drive was blissful. I'm still surprised at the versatility of the car in both gentle and spirited driving modes. Just outstanding! A few pics of the day.

Beautiful, even if I'm late to reply! Mine looks great in fall foliage right now as well--took us in NorCal a bit longer to get to the falling leaves stage of fall
Hopefully will get a chance to take her for a drive soon...

I had to drive 5 hours to the Ozarks to do those kind of roads.
