Great Drives

Love your back yard!!!! I'm jealous!! I would be jealous of your car, but it looks eerily like mine! I would offer to trade you for a little scrub oak and long, straight, flat roads but I doubt I'd get anywhere with that.

I had to drive 5 hours to the Ozarks to do those kind of roads.

5 hours to get to some hills and twisties? Oh my!

C, I'm sure NorCal must be a spectacle in fall colors. Get out there matey!
Thank you Chuck. I'm very fortunate indeed. We have an abundance of perfect Porsche roads (pPr) on our doorstep. Whats better is that we have practically zero traffic and very friendly police. So I think I'll pass on your offer

Zero traffic is harder to come by... cyclist, bikes, cars are all out every weekend. But it all depends which section of the road too. I do envy the zero traffic and friendly police ; D

Around Carmel Valley
Long time no post, but last weekend I took her to the mountains of Carmel Valley near Laguna Seca to enjoy the early spring we get here in CA. Enjoy!
Map:
Climbing up Robinson Canyon Rd:
Riding these twisties is like skiing!
At the San Francisquito Flat section:

Thanks for sharing.
Makes me want to go for a drive right now... then I look outside and see snow... oh and still no 991 in my garage.

Calaveras Rd — Sierra Rd
Long time no drive, unfortunately, but I finally was able to take her out again last weekend into the golden hills of the SF East Bay, around Calaveras Reservoir and then Sierra Rd, which offers stunning views of the South Bay and San Jose.
There was nobody on the street, except perhaps 2 motorbikes and 3 cars in a span of 45 minutes. What a privilege to have such drives nearby!
Enjoy!
Here is the track:
On Calaveras Road. The mountains in the background are typical for the area.
Calaveras Road
Looking good in the golden countryside!
On Sierra Road, high above San Jose.
Downtown San Jose in the back.
And my favorite, just before heading back down into the South Bay:
