No, you are correct.
I too was looking at getting the PDLS in black but much like you I just couldn't get over having a handle for the seat on a 150K+ ride.
That said, everyone is right...
Here's why, the early produced 991's both PDLS and non-PDLS had light-gray/silver headlight reflectors in the housing but on the more recent once the PDLS has about 70% of it's reflector parts in black.
But the earlier AND newer non-PDLS are all still in gray/silver (0% elements in black).
On the PDLS in black almost ALL the reflector and housing elements are in black (100%) including the ring on the outside of the headlight.
I decided that the PDLS with partial blackout is "mean" enough for me (if I can't have 14 way seats as well)... but the "PDLS in black" is much more stealth looking for sure.
That's going be one amazing looking ride!

Yes, it now looks like Porsche has offered a better explanation on the website for the "black" PDLS lights,....so I think this is now correct.
What is still maddening though is if you pick either of the Premium packages you still can't pick PDLS black lights!,....I would think you could still get them with just an up-charge as PDLS is included in the packages,...but no, at least on the configurator. Maybe the dealer will have a better/different way of ordering them.

May I ask about the seats... let's put the memory & manual slider aside, just the seats themselves... what's the comfort level difference? I mean does the Sport Plus really feel different than the 14-way? In a long term, you think I will regard about the seats? Does anyone here have the Sport Plus (non-18-way) seats here to share your opinions? TIA.

I didn't get that option on my build because it hugs the back too much (restricting air flow) thus becoming hot (in a cab) plus the top part feels to claustrophobic for every day use and it's a pita when reaching to the back seat...
But I'm 6'4" at 265 pounds...
