Parking Light

Page 80 of the Manual explains the operation of the parking light. The turn signal stalk lights the parking light for the left or right side of the vehicle when the ignition is off. Push the lever up, the right side lights. Down, the left side lights.

Huh?

What is this?

It's an old safety feature so that if you park your car on the side of a road at night, it illuminates whichever side is closer to the road, so that other cars can see that there is a car parked on the side of the road.

thanks...I was re-reading the Manual as I can now read it in relaxed state as opposed to the "I'M SO EXCITED AND OUT OF MY MIND WITH EXCITEMENT THAT MY PORSCHE IS HERE AND I HAVE TO GO FOR A DRIVE"

It's amazing the stuff I missed in the first read.

LOL! You just described me in about 4 weeks!! I am anticipating that excitement, so have made a head start on reading the manual...I am so glad I can share my Porsche obsession with guys on this site as yammering on about Porsches is tough to do with anyone else or in most social settings.

Where did you get the owners manual ahead of time? I've got a December build and would love to get a manual sooner than later.

Someone posted the e manual either on here or Rennlist a while back and I have been systematically going through that. The search function on the interactive manual is very comprehensive.

Thanks for the info on the iManuals. I actually found that site in the Canadian site this morning and thought there might be more.

There is a whole bunch of info beyond the interactive videos. Use the search function in the I manual and you will uncover a huge trove of info.

VikingMariner,
Thanks for posting the link for the i Manual!

Zmoney is infamous around these parts
NEVER knew that, sounds like a cool feature. How long can it stay on without draining the battery? I've had mine 6 months and just managed to have a **** ton of fun driving, never read the manual though. Maybe I'll read it while it's garaged during winter

All European cars, well Euro spec cars. It's a good feature.

The feature is actually a requirement in Europe, to be used depending on the Speed limit of the area (as well as the street lighting) when parking on the side of the road.

Common feature with almost all European vehicles.
