Review 991S PDK Sport Chrono
Wow is all I say, every day cant wait to drive the car
Fit and Finish, excellent, Black on Red Interior, Rims painted exterior color, everything in perfect location, car is very tight, drives like a sports car should, ecspecially in Sport Plus, sheer joy to drive.
Handling, I love the way you turn the nose in and it just goes, have to work to get under or over steer, the car just performs very well in this case. It does make you feel you are a race driver, although I am not. Very Agile, zip through trafic
Power, very linear, although not a torque king, car is a blast to drive, hit sports plus get out of the midrange and it changes personalites in a second I think on the street perfect balance of power and handeling, excellent in wet as well, I can see why in Launch control this is a high 11 sec car in the quarter. always an abundance of power on tap, great red line
Shifting, instant up and downshifts on PDK, must have,as close to a cup car as you can get for a street car in the new PDK, any time you shift up or down , instant reaction, love it
Exhaust, I have PSE and Sport Suspenison, PSE is a must have , gives the car a muscle feel and sound , love the pops as you lift off, down**** or up peoples reactions are great
Cons regular base stereo, will replace with aftermarket speakers, problem solved
I think after driving many cars it is one of the best on the road, just does everything well, if you are on the fence, trust me test drive one you will not!

Curious, which other cars have you had? I have driven the 991s and I actually prefer 997.2 for many reasons including prices, serviceability. As far as I am concerned, 991 has better sound and maybe electronics, drive feel is similar

What speaker brand are you looking at and are you replacing them all?

Owned a couple porsche including a 997.2. Had my 991 for 9 months or so now. Daily driver. Every option from PASM+, SC, to PDCC, etc..
Just hopped in a buddies 997 (it's been a while) and it felt quite inferior in it's driving characteristics comparatively. The 991 is stupid good. I'm so in love with the 991 that I'll be selling mine for either a CS4 or a 991 GT3 when available.
No offense to 997 owners because I too owned one and it was a fantastic car and still better than anything non-991 on the road

Glad you all enjoy the 991 so much!
Do you have any problem with not able to see the engine? I just can't get over why Porsche did that. Also, I think it's poor design that the bumper has to be removed to change the air filter. I wrench on my own cars and consider serviceability to be a high priority.
