How to break in my new 2012 911(991)

Good article.
Realistically, can't the engine still get hotter if the temperature outside is say, 115 degrees in the Las Vegas Desert even not going above 4000rpms compared to living in Alaska and keeping it under 4000rpms

I bought my car new off the showroom floor. When I did a test drive before I bought it I ran the **** out of it. It had 200 miles on it when I got it. I have run it like I stole it every day. It now has 6000 miles on it. I just did my second oil change. I always send off for analysis. It was perfect. For the last 4000 miles on this change no oil used that I could tell on the stupid electronic dip stick. Car runs perfect. YMMV

Excellent article...thanks!
I'm on my fifth Porsche and I've gone both routes. Knock wood; never an engine issue, BUT....I plan a long trip on my next 911 and 2,000 miles under or near 4,000 RPM.
One point in that article I find very accurate. In every one of my cars it took between 15,000 and 25,000 miles for the engine to completely loosen up, and feel totally smooth.
