Question how to break in my 2013 911 Carrera S (991)

Can anyone advise me how to break in my new 911 Carrera S? How many miles do i need before I can open it up? Is there a certain RPM I should stay under?/ Please advise.

The Manuel states 2k miles. I have adhered to the break in regime, but don't hesitate to let it loose a little.

There's another current thread on the same subject. Listen to what Porsche is telling you in your Owner Manual. They know what they're talking about.

An important thing with breakin is to vary the engine speed constantly. Don't just set cruise control and drive on. Also, lugging the engine is worse than using higher revs.
