They overfilled my tyres today too....

whenever I get my car serviced, they fill the oil to the top peg on dash readout. The tires, it depends, sometimes they gimmie 37/44 and other times 34/42. In either case, as long as they don't OVERFILL my oil, I'm cool with it.

No you cannot. A 9A1 engine must be idling to measure oil level.

And incidentally... it's far better to have oil slightly lower than max, than overfilled.
