too much of anything usually kills it. i think too much red could be a disaster too. that's why i went with the deviated black carpet to tone the red down. slowly i'm going to change out few red interior trims to tone it down even more. i'm very happy with my 997 interior. i can only imagine the 991 to be better with the things i have planned.

Mine will probably come out too about a 70/30 - black/red.
I imagine yours will probably be the revers of that.
What are you planning to swap out with black?

probably. first steering wheel then some custom seats with black inserts. the car has optional black dial already. i'm debating the carbon trims but i'm liking the silver so far because the exterior is sliver. i'll have to wait to see how the seats come out first.

Why didn't I think of that!
I'd agree with the silver trim... do the overall color balance first and see how you like it, you can change the trim out at any point in time.
I love the customizing process as much as the end results so I would not be in a hurry.
That said, if you want to do a swap of parts let me know which ones you have in mind... seriously!
Cheers!

This may actually work out

Probably easier to do that with another 991 owner from a local dealer but it's a damn good idea!
I don't know why Porsche doesn't just offer a 2-tone red/black interior like they do for gray.
Sorry for the hijack 20C4S.
But thanks for the suggestion.

I need three of the chrome pieces for the button on the center counsel, maybe some one here bought the R-Kit Tip Switch from ebay? Did you?

Looks awesome! I'm also going for the red leather in my build and plan to add some black to tone it down (my exterior will be black). I'm probably gonna go with the stock carbon fiber trim, although it's crazy expensive! Will be interesting to see what you do!
