Personal settings (besides the seat)

Hey guys. So I'm having some confusion with setting the seat memory (1,2,3). I have realized that with one key, you can change the seat position/mirrors/steering wheel, but all the personal and vehicle settings (the car menu, light options, comfort entry, and so on) can only be stored on number 3 (which saves things onto the key). If you change those personal and vehicle settings, and press -set, 1-, and then some other driver comes in and presses -2-, all your personal and vehicle settings will be lost. The only way to save those other settings is by pressing -set, 3-, which will also set the same personal settings for memory 1 and 2.

Lets say that the spouse likes to display fuel range, time and the likes on the PCM display, have the map 3D in the gauge cluster, and have ambient light set to 100%. Lets also say that you like different settings for all those things, you will need two different keys, and store whatever settings you want by pressing -set, 3- with YOUR key in the car.

If I'm wrong, please correct me. I just wanted to share this as I finally sat down and learned the thing.

Set 3 programs the key only. You have 2 keys that can be programmed independently.

Does anyone know if you can wipe out the settings completely so there are no settings saved to the key? Sort of a factory reset so to speak.

Yes, but you must have "Automatic Storage Of Settings On Vehicle Keys When Locking" deactivated in the Multi-Function Display. Here is how you check/change this in the Multi-Function Display: 1) Main Menu "Vehicle" 2) select "Settings" 3) select " Locking" 4) select "Auto Memory" 5) select "Deactivate"
