You could find someone like myself that has it to listen to.

If it is an "S" get PSE and Sports Chrono. Everything else is optional.

Personally I don't give two hoots about the sound system, this is not my DD, this is (one of) my toys. I listen to the PSE. You can play that thing like you can play a musical instrument. It adds to the enjoyment of the car more than any other item on the options list.

None out of all 5 or 6 dealer? There are quite a lot of 991 around. You can PM me if you really need to listen to one, all depends on where you are in the valley

I am with you on this. I barely listen to anything in the car, not to say the ride to and front work produce any exciting engine note, but it is still a pretty decent sound.

Thanks - pulled the trigger!

Thanks everybody for your help. Invaluable perspective for me. I'm very proud to say I pulled the trigger this past week and placed an order in the Bay Area, CA. Still waiting on exact delivery timeframe but likely late May or early June. Specs are below (this is DD):

Carrera S
Manual transmission

Exterior Color - GT Silver
Wheel center caps with colored Porsche crest
Power Sport Seats (14 way) - leather seats
Leather interior in Black/Luxor Beige
Premium Package Plus
Bose Audio Package
Park assist front and rear
Electric folding exterior mirrors
Sunroof in glass
PASM Sport Suspension
Multi-function steering wheel
Steering column casing in leather
Porsche crest on headrests
Instrument dials in black
Sport Exhaust (PSE)
Deviating carpets (black)
Smoker package

Key things I changed based on feedback:
- Confirmed PASM
- Added PSE. It's pricey for sure but I didn't want to regret it afterwards.
- Added Deviating carpets (black)
- Added smoker package
- Confirmed not doing Sport Chrono. Don't plan to track it, seemed like overkill in an MT. I'm not focused on resale value.
- Changed from Platinum Silver to GT Silver

neeko877 is infamous around these parts
Congrats Tahoe_Joe, nice to see a bay area enthusiast taking the dive... You did welll with keeping the options in check and it sounds like it's gonna be a great daily driver. Good choice on adding in the PSE, and glass sunroof is gorgeous. I'm a manual guy myself, just can't replace it no matter how great the technology imo.

Now find some way to keep busy for the next 2-3 months, they will be longer than usual!

Cheers,
Nick

Well, looks good. Nice color! I'm not a beige guy but with black it's a good combo. No dynamic engine mounts? Well, SF area has better roads than Cincy. Enjoy it!
