White Gauges

Here is a quick iphone pic, (lighting is not that great).
I get a lot of complements on the white gauges. The LCD will work with any particular color gauges due to the changing display. Hope this help, if not write back and I'll clarify more. I am having trouble uploading big pretty pics due to the file size but if you are strongly considering white dials I will fiddle with some good quality pics.

For the guys that have the coloured dials, does it bother you that you can see all the indicator lights and warnings on the two dials so easily compared to the black dial. I ordered white, but Im thinking about switching it to all black because seeing them is kinda bothering me.

I had to replace the red seat belts in my previous car, a 2006 Boxster, and they were $600 vs. $300 for standard black.

Great question STALKER, I am also curious to know what peoples experiences are with this if they have colored gauge clusters.

I went to my dealer yesterday and checked out a 997 Turbo S with yellow ones and a 997 C4S with white gauges.

The yellow ones I did not like, they were very busy with the all the warning and indicator lights really visible. Plus it had Turbo S written on them, which was nice, but just too busy for my taste.

The white ones were really nice though, the warning lights were not that bad, you can see them, but they don't over power the dial itself.

But this was a 997, so not sure if its exactly the same for the 991.

I ended up not changing my order and kept the dials in white.

I am thinking it won't be too different from 997 to 991. Glad to hear the warning lights weren't too bad IRL because i had never thought of it as being an issue until you brought it up... No one has seemed to ever complain so I am not worrying about it for my future order.

Now that i'm stuck on white gauges, I'm not even interested in black anymore.

Hopefully they will be similar. I'm just being picky, but they weren't bad on the white. The pics online were making it look far worse, especially those on the configurator.
The black gauges are a tally growing on me a little, especially when they are all black including the tach.

White Sports Chrono Gauge on Carrera Red Natural Leather Interior

White Sports Chrono Gauge on Carrera Red Natural Leather Interior

I didn't want to change the color on all gauges because:

1) i like the classic look of the black gauges with red needles

2) i wanted the sports chrono gauge to stand out

Initially I had all the dials white, but I decided to make the main dials all black and the SC dial red.
Thanks to everyone that posted pics.

It would be perfect if Porsche offered the ability to reverse the LCD display colors...instead of white letters on a black background, they would offer to have black writing on the gauge color background. It would work perfectly with the white or yellow gauges, and blend in so well.
