Here are some pictures of it in the frunk with a close up of the part number.

I didn't use the part that is supposed to fit in the frunk to hold it because it takes too much room, I just put some old towels around it and jammed it in so it doesn't move.

If you need any other info let me know ...

EDIT: Woo ... I just googled the part number and it is for a 996 Turbo ... I better check to see if it works I never actually tried to drive with it and I just checked the tire calculator and it is off by 1" in diameter, meanwhile the OP of this thread has the same exact size so I hope I am ok ... I'll keep everyone posted.
af330i, thanks for taking pics with the part number. Did you ever get around to driving on it and see if the 1" difference made a difference once inflated? If we can use 996 spare wheels on the 991 that would be great! Keep us posted, thanks!

No idea what the difference is
tomcatz, thanks for the list of part #'s. But none of those appear to be the inflatable one. Do you happen to know the part # for the inflatable spare? Thanks!

I haven't put it on my car yet because I was going to do it when I switched to my winter wheels but the weather has been so warm I haven't done the change over yet.

Most likely I will swtich them out this weekend or next weekend and once I do I will put the spare on and go for a drive to see if there are any issues.

I will post here once I do so everyone who is interested will know the results.

First I apologize to anyone who was waiting for me to try out the spare, the weather has been so warm that I just kept putting off switching out my summer wheels/tires to my winters ...

So no more waiting the answer is yes it works ... I did a test fit when I first got it so that was already know but it also drives with the spare with no issues that I could detect.

I took my car for a quick 2 to 3 mile drive around my area hitting speeds up to 50 mph and I heard nothing strange, no warning lights, nothing kicking in like stability control or traction control, etc.

I took a couple of pics and boy is this thing ugly !!!

af330i, do you know what size wheel that is? I am trying to find a spare for my 2015 C2. I noticed some Mercedes Benz uses same size tire as spare and thinking about buying one.

Sorry for the delayed response, I don't know the width of the wheel but the diameter is 17". Did you google the model number I believe I posted it here, if not I can get it for you, that might be able to get you more information on it.

Looks good but I wouldn't want it in my car unless it was bolted in place. Also, if you have a C4/S do you have to be concerned if the OD isn't the same as the other tires??

The wheel/tire is jammed into place .... it isn't going anywhere ... plus once you get a flat without a spare you will understand that the spare is well worth it.

Unfortunately I have been caught driving and my tire is all of a sudden losing major air, I live on Long Island in NY in a well populated area and I can you that I was totally caught off guard .. who expects a tire to lose air so fast.

I only fear that a flat will happen with my R8 which I unfortunately do not have a spare for.

Jammed how? Against the underside of the hood?

It is jammed in between the firewall and the front of the car. It doesn't move around at all. I would not feel comfortable having it if it bounced around the frunk.

The emergency wheel part number is: 991-362-050-01

Question: would it fit a 2020 718 Spyder that has 20" wheels? I know it states it is for 2014-19 911s but 20" wheels are just that, right?
