On Vessel

The Dionysos Leader is on a track for the Caribbean and the Aphrodite leader just left a Port in Portugal.
Those of us waiting for Halifax bound ships may have a longer wait. Similar for ships heading to the NE USA.
My dealer is going to check again Friday morning but he's still thinking the Feb 6 departure to Halifax. Car was finished on January 18.

I would guess West Coast by ship would be about twice the time for Halifax which is about 9 days. Maybe even a little longer as most of the West Coast ships do stop at ports along the way also.

If the car is on a non-VW Logistics/Lempke vessel, the Porsches are apparently mixed with several other brands and the boat makes many stops along the way.

great info everyone! i was just informed that my 991 is "on the water" and headed for san diego, but further details on ship and timing not known to the dealer yet. i'm hoping that its on the aphrodite or dionysos, but i guess we shall see...

Ha ha Excellent!!! Great news! Keep us posted as you learn more.

I did verify that my car is not on either of the above 2 mentioned boats. They both left several days before my car was loaded onto a ship. Haven't heard which ship mine is on yet, but based on departure date it will likely arrive in San diego the end of feb.

Thanks! likewise, let us know when you have more details. I'm afraid that attilas' situation isthe same as mine, end of feb. but until I hear officially, I can be cautiously optimistic!

Will do, but honestly my sales never follows thru on what he says he's gonna do so I have no idea when I'll get more news. Maybe he will check the system this coming week and get me an update. I'd like to think its on a ship by now considering the rest of you that have cars finished the same time as mine all seem to be on a ship now. So I'm cautiously optimistic!!

I just got word from my dealer that my car is now on a vessel. He will let me know the name of the ship later today. My car is a DBM CS2. It was ordered on Nov. 15 and came off the line on Jan. 21. It will be be sent to the San Diego port.

If anyone ever smokes in my car, forget the cancer, I would get them first. The smoking package includes an extra power outlet and looks better.

Actually, just knowing the name of the ship is pretty impressive.

Just so long as it is not Captain Bligh, I am ok.
