I just got word from my dealer that my car is now on a vessel. He will let me know the name of the ship later today. My car is a DBM CS2. It was ordered on Nov. 15 and came off the line on Jan. 21. It will be be sent to the San Diego port.

It could be on the Dionysos Leader, which is arriving in San Diego around Feb 15th. Mine is on this vessel and finished production on Jan 17th.

 

My Agate Gray C2S was also completed on 1/21. I do know the VIN but have not been notified that its "on vessel" yet.

I got an email this morning from VW logistics. There is a vehicle carrier named Aphrodite Leader with a San Diego ETA of Feb 13.

I got the same email today that my car is now on a vessel as well headed for San Diego, so our cars are likely on the same ship. Dealer didn't have the vessel name yet either, but it is likely one of the 2 mentioned above.

 

Good to see that your cars are on their way to the new owners. If anyone wants to know the name of vessels their cars are on just PM your VIN# and I can let you know.

 

My dealer said it would be about a month, but if it is on one of those ships it looks more like the middle of February. If you get the name of your ship please post the information.

 

You can track the ship on the internet by name. I watched mine transit the Panama Canal and head home. It is very accurate so you may know it has arrived before the dealer.

There are several phone apps too, which can track your vessel. I just saw that Dionysos Leader has arrived at the Panama Canal.

 

Looks like my car at least isn't on Dionysos Leader, because I confirmed that my car was only actual put on the ship yesterday. Going to be some time still...

 

I found out that my car was also put on a ship yesterday. Probably the same one. I will post as soon as I know the name.
